As a baker, I wanted to push the boundaries of traditional baking and create treats that are not only delicious but also safe for diabetics and gut-friendly, all without sacrificing flavor. Meet the mastermind behind Sugar Baby’s Bake Shop: a dynamic force of love, baking, and sass. Life threw me some curveballs (diabetes, FND, and three strokes – yep, three!), but I didn’t let it slow me down. Instead, I found my calling in the kitchen, whipping up treats that are as delicious as they are healthy.
The Education
I’m a SAIT alum, having honed my skills in Baking and Pastry Arts (BPA). I also completed a 2-year diploma in Culinary Entrepreneurship in just one year – talk about a recipe for success!
The Story Behind the Sugar
My mother-in-law’s bite-sized treats sparked a revolution – why can’t all desserts be indulgent without being overwhelming? I create treats that are not just delicious but also healthy, with a focus on NSA (No Sugar Added) and gut-friendly ingredients.
Mental Health Matters
I live with mental illness every day, and I’m grateful for the mental health programs in Calgary that have supported me. That’s why I’m passionate about giving back: a portion of every sale goes to an underfunded mental health program in Calgary. You’re not just buying treats; you’re supporting a great cause.
